From Traditional to Contemporary

Project Overview:

This family room presented the challenge of reimagining a traditionally styled space to align with the clients’ vision for a more modern aesthetic, while still preserving a sense of warmth and livability. The design needed to feel fresh and updated, yet inviting enough for everyday family life, with subtle touches of blue woven throughout.

Breann approached the transformation with a light, layered palette that brightens and opens the room. Soft whites and creams establish an airy foundation, while carefully placed blue accents introduce personality and a sense of calm sophistication. To balance the cooler tones, warm metallics were incorporated, with gold finishes adding depth, texture, and a refined contrast that elevates the overall design.

The result is a seamless blend of modern elegance and comfort. The once traditional space has been thoughtfully transformed into a welcoming retreat, where clean lines, curated textures, and a harmonious mix of blues and warm metallics create an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and inviting—perfect for gathering, relaxing, and everyday living.
