Project Overview:

Designing this dining room required a careful balance between scale and atmosphere. The size of the space, paired with the need to accommodate a substantial dining table, presented a planning challenge—particularly as the client envisioned a darker, more dramatic aesthetic that would still feel cohesive with the rest of the home.

Lisa Porter approached the design with both precision and creativity, reorienting the dining table to maximize flow and functionality while enhancing the room’s overall presence. Deep black walls were introduced to create a sense of intimacy and sophistication, while a bold, patterned ceiling treatment adds unexpected depth and architectural interest. The interplay of these elements transforms the room into a striking yet harmonious extension of the home.

The finished space exudes timeless elegance. Rich, layered details and the intricately designed ceiling create a captivating focal point, while the overall palette delivers warmth and refinement.
