A Forgiving Rug

Kayla’s client wanted to redesign their entryway so that it tied in the surrounding spaces and elements. They wanted unique pieces that combined different textures and elements. It was also important that the rug was forgiving for any dirt that may be tracked into the home from outside.

Location: Dallas, TX

Designer Credits: Kayla Anderson

Project Overview:

To tie in the nearby spaces, we used an arched black framed mirror to mimic the curves and tone of elements in adjacent spaces. A console that mixed marble and wood paired combined different elements to elevate the space. An ombre wool rug that was forgiving and fit for an entryway was used for this high traffic area. To bring in a fun aspect, climbing wall sculptures were displayed. This white entryway shines!
