Project Overview:

This living room began with builder-grade finishes, limited architectural interest, and a challenging corner fireplace that complicated the layout. An oversized sectional further overwhelmed the space, disrupting flow and balance. While the client wanted to keep several existing pieces, including the coffee table and accent chairs, the room needed a cohesive design direction to improve both function and style.

Lisa Porter transformed the space by introducing architectural detail, better proportions, and stronger focal points. A modern chandelier replaced the ceiling fan, while stacked stone gave the fireplace greater presence and visual impact. A bold wallpaper feature wall and updated sconces added character, warmth, and depth. The furniture layout was reimagined with a new sectional scaled appropriately for the room, and the client’s existing console was repurposed beneath the television. A custom-cut rug and new end tables completed the design.

The result is a polished, inviting living space that feels balanced, functional, and full of personality, with layered textures and thoughtful details that elevate the entire room.
