Teenage Space

We created this fun kids’ room by starting with bold wallpaper on the walls. We provided an industrial-style headboard and shelving. We added modern pops of red against the black and white in the accent pillows and art. The contemporary nightstand and accent chair add to the cool vibe.

Project Overview:

This room is part of a new construction project, but initially, it had a rather standard, builder-basic finish. Our goal was to transform it into an exciting and vibrant kids’ room, necessitating a complete overhaul of the builder basics.

To begin, we opted for a light, cool gray wall color and lightened the carpet, creating a sense of spaciousness within the room. To inject a sense of fun and drama, we introduced a bold wallpaper, which instantly became a focal point. We further enhanced the room with an industrial-inspired headboard and shelving units, adding a touch of modernity to the overall design.

Contemporary accents were introduced through carefully chosen pieces such as the accent chair, nightstand, and lighting fixtures. To bring the room to life, we incorporated modern pops of red in the form of pillows and artwork, completing the transformation of the space into a lively and captivating kids’ room.
