His Hobby is Golf

A couple from Connecticut purchased a second home in Texas and aimed to establish a vacation home that offered a warm, familiar ambiance, especially during the winter season. They envisioned a space tailored to the husband’s passion for golf, transforming it into a dedicated golf room. The challenge lay in seamlessly incorporating the essence of “golf” into the existing traditional elements of the home, crafting a space that evoked the spirit of the sport while maintaining a harmonious design.

Project Overview:

The foundation of this space centered around the client’s desire for a leather sectional. We opted for a saddle brown color for the sectional. To complement this choice, we selected traditional-style silhouettes in hues reminiscent of a golf course – including shades of brown, cream, blue, and green. To infuse an outdoor ambiance, we painted the walls in a cool, grayish-blue tone.

To break up the traditional patterns and tie together the various colors, we introduced an abstract rug. As a finishing touch, we adorned the space with large golf-themed art pieces, featuring golf carts to capture the essence of the sport. This final addition created the ideal atmosphere for the husband to enjoy watching golf on TV.
