Designing this expansive, upscale kitchen required a thoughtful balance between honoring what existed and introducing a lighter, more modern feel. One of the primary challenges was integrating the home’s existing red floors—an element the client wished to keep—while achieving a fresh, airy palette that still reflected her love for cottage-style design.

Project Overview:

Breann guided the selection of every new material, from countertops and cabinetry to lighting and backsplash tile, ensuring each choice worked harmoniously with the flooring while elevating the overall aesthetic. A soft, bright color palette was carefully curated to bring a sense of openness and refinement, without losing the warmth and character the client envisioned.

The countertops and backsplash became defining features, reinforcing the cottage-inspired look while adding subtle sophistication. Cream-toned cabinetry, shaker-style details, and rustic wood accents create a layered, inviting design, while open shelving offers the perfect place to display cherished dishware. A farmhouse sink adds a timeless focal point, and thoughtfully selected lighting enhances both function and ambiance.

The result is a beautifully reimagined kitchen that feels both fresh and familiar—warm, welcoming, and perfectly suited for everyday living as well as relaxed gatherings with family and friends.
