Circular Dining

Our Connecticut clients bought a second home in Texas and wanted a vacation home that felt like a home away from home during the winter season. For their dining room, they wanted a space to seat their large family during their visits. Their style was modern farmhouse so they wanted the dining room to be lighter in color and feel a touch of rustic as the space was super dark in the beginning.

Project Overview:

To begin capturing the feel and essence of modern farmhouse, we painted all chair molding and trim a creamy white so we could completely get rid of the brown. Small details such as changing the outlet covers to be white allowed them to blend instead of stand out so that everything else could shine.

To maximize the number of seats the space could accommodate, we selected a round Jupe dining table. This table was not only a great selection due to it’s function and style, but it also made a great conversational piece. Custom dining chairs and a round rug were then added to bring in the farmhouse charm.

Changing the light fixture, adding wall sconces, and unique mirrors, we were able to lighten the space even more. Last, but certainly not least, we installed wallpaper with a fun pattern but a subtle color to take the space up another notch. To accent it all, we added art to bring in more color and interest to the space.
