Bright & Airy Kitchen

This kitchen was very dark and gloomy. The client wanted a simple and sleek kitchen that was bright and airy, using white and gray hues, and keeping the existing charm of the home’s kitchen. The kitchen had no hardware due to its unique character, so we selected cabinet hardware that worked with the existing cabinet details. The space required new plumbing fixtures to go with the new color palette and transitional feel.

Project Overview:

Kayla assisted the client through the selection process for her kitchen makeover and collaborated with their contractor. The primary goal was to provide expertise on paint, backsplashes, countertops, plumbing fixtures, and cabinet hardware and provide the client with her dream kitchen. The final design embodied the client’s preferences and style while harmonizing with the home’s existing character.

We assisted and achieved our client’s dream kitchen by directing her to a 2×2 backsplash that provided simplicity, but interest through the subtle marble design. We went with a countertop with big light gray veins that would not be too overstimulating and complemented the backsplash. We suggested painting the cabinets white, but to add interest by painting the island a contrasting gray color that was not too overpowering. We went with brushed nickel hardware and fixtures and to tie everything together, we added low back counter stools.
