A Modern Entryway

The entry hall originally lacked visual impact, with builder-grade lighting, minimal architectural interest, and a disconnect between the existing furnishings and the scale of the space. The client’s pieces felt undersized and did not reflect the clean, modern aesthetic they envisioned, leaving the entry without a strong sense of cohesion or presence.

Project Overview:

To transform the space, Lisa Porter introduced a series of thoughtful design elements that elevate both form and function. Grasscloth wallpaper envelops the entry in subtle texture and warmth, while a striking vertical wood-slat feature wall creates depth and a refined focal point. A custom-cut rug was tailored to follow the angled layout of the floor, grounding the space with precision and intention. Sculptural pendant lighting replaces the original fixtures, adding modern character and a welcoming glow. A larger, well-proportioned console cabinet, paired with updated lighting accents, completes the design—bringing balance, sophistication, and a cohesive, polished finish to the entry.
